Overview

2008 Toyota HiAce TRH226K SLWB 4WD Campervan — Genuine FOCS AliZe — "The Tradewind"

$55,900 — Lidcombe NSW — 79,950 km — Genuine FOCS AliZe Factory Camper — Full-Time 4WD — Sleeps 6 — NSW Registered to 23 January 2027 — 5-Year Nationwide Warranty Included — Delivery Australia-Wide

A genuine Japanese factory campervan — a FOCS AliZe built by Fuji Cars Japan on the camper-specific HiAce Super Long 4WD platform, sleeping up to six, with just 79,950 certified kilometres.

This is the real thing. FOCS is the original campervan brand of Fuji Cars Japan — one of Japan's largest campervan builders, in the same conversion-house league as the Vantech builds Australians hunt for — and the AliZe is their family model, named for the alizé, the steady trade winds that carried sailors across oceans. It sits on the camper-specific HiAce Super Long wide-body high-roof platform (TRH226K) with genuine factory full-time 4WD — always on, no buttons to push — and Toyota's 2TR-FE 2.7L VVT-i petrol four: chain-driven, no timing belt to ever replace, and famously long-lived. A combination never sold new in Australia.

Built October 2008 and first registered in Japan that November, it comes with the kind of history most imports simply can't offer: a documented Japanese service file full of dated invoices, the original AliZe paperwork folder, and a JEVIC-certified odometer trail — 63,700 km in 2022, 76,100 km in 2024, 79,950 km today. It presents in 10/10 condition inside and out and has been through the full Rising Rides prep — a fresh service (every Rising Rides vehicle gets one, regardless — it's an Australian car now), mechanical inspection, roadworthy and professional detail — and is NSW Registered to 23 January 2027.

The camper build is all warm timber cabinetry and clever packaging — a sturdy timber floor underfoot, with walls and ceiling fully insulated. Six can travel, and up to six can sleep across three zones — fold the lounge into one huge 1.6 m × 2.2 m bed or keep the zones separate, with a third 1.6 m × 1.1 m berth across the back. The galley has a sink with running water (20 L fresh, 10 L grey), a fridge and prep bench, and there's an expandable shower point at the rear for rinsing off after the beach. A Webasto petrol heater, factory rear air-conditioning and heating, a 100 Ah AGM house battery, LED lighting and 360° privacy curtains handle the nights. Up front: leather seat covers and our custom wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto touchscreen with reverse camera. Want more off-grid capability — a second battery, solar, an inverter or an awning fitted before delivery? Just inquire.

Provenance & Compliance

Genuine FOCS AliZe by Fuji Cars Japan. A real conversion-house build from one of Japan's largest campervan builders — the AliZe is FOCS's family-focused model on the camper-specific HiAce Super Long platform, in the same conversion-house league as the well-known Vantech builds. Built October 2008, first registered in Japan November 2008, and sold with its documented Japanese service file; the original AliZe paperwork folder comes with the van.

Fresh JDM Import — Fully Complied, NSW Registered to 23 January 2027. It's an Australian car now — complied, registered and road-legal from the moment you drive it away. And like every Rising Rides vehicle, it's been given a fresh service regardless, plus a roadworthy and professional detail at our Lidcombe workshop.

Genuine JDM Import. Sourced directly from Japan, where strict periodic vehicle inspection (shaken) standards preserve vehicles in exceptional condition. A factory full-time 4WD petrol Super Long camper like this was never sold new in Australia — importing one is the only way to own it.

JEVIC-Certified Odometer History

Most importers can't show you a paper trail. We can. This van's odometer history is JEVIC certified, with dated readings recorded on its official Japanese export certificate and auction report:

7 July 2022

63,700 km — Japanese inspection record

12 July 2024

76,100 km — recorded on the export certificate

2026

79,950 km — Japanese auction report at purchase

A clean, consistent, independently certified kilometre trail — barely 8,000 km in the last two years — further backed by the dated service invoices in the van's Japanese service file. The original export certificate is available for inspection with the vehicle.

Why this HiAce stands apart

A genuine conversion-house build. FOCS AliZe by Fuji Cars Japan — one of Japan's largest campervan builders, in the same league as the Vantech conversions. Factory-grade engineering, not a DIY fit-out, with the paperwork to prove it.

Camper-specific from the chassis up. Built on the HiAce Super Long camper-specific platform — wide body, high roof, 1,620 mm of standing headroom.

Insulated and solid underfoot. Sturdy timber floor, with walls and ceiling fully insulated — warmer in winter, cooler in summer, quieter everywhere.

Genuine full-time 4WD. Always on — no buttons to push, no transfer case to manage. The go-anywhere HiAce drivetrain Australians hunt for, factory-fitted.

Sleeps six, three ways. Three sleeping zones that work as separate beds or fold into one huge 1.6 m × 2.2 m platform, plus a 1.6 m × 1.1 m rear berth — a genuine family camper.

Just 79,950 certified kilometres. JEVIC-certified trail with dated readings — barely 8,000 km in the last two years — backed by a documented Japanese service file.

Four-season ready. Webasto petrol heater off the van's own tank, factory rear air-conditioning and heating, and 360° privacy curtains.

Real water on board. Sink with running water, 20 L fresh and 10 L grey tanks, and an expandable rear shower point for camp clean-ups.

Chain-driven petrol simplicity. The 2TR-FE 2.7 has no timing belt, no turbo and no injector dramas — cheap to service and famously durable.

The Rising Rides signature fit-out — upgraded. Custom touchscreen player and reverse camera fitted as standard, and on this van it's the wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto unit.

Quick Answers

Is this van ready to drive away today?

Yes. It is NSW Registered to 23 January 2027, fully complied, freshly inspected and prepared to Rising Rides standards. Ready to drive from our Lidcombe NSW showroom or deliver to your nearest capital city.

Is this a genuine Japanese factory camper conversion?

Yes — it's a genuine FOCS AliZe, designed and built by Fuji Cars Japan, one of Japan's largest campervan builders — the same conversion-house league as Vantech — on the camper-specific HiAce Super Long platform. Built October 2008, with the original AliZe paperwork folder and documented Japanese service file included.

How many people can it seat and sleep?

Six seats and up to six berths across three sleeping zones (the factory rating is three adults plus three children). The lounge folds into one huge 1.6 m × 2.2 m bed — or stays as separate singles — with a third 1.6 m × 1.1 m berth across the back.

Does it have running water and a shower?

Yes. The timber galley has a sink with running water fed by a 20 L fresh water tank draining to a 10 L grey tank, and there's an expandable shower point at the rear — perfect for rinsing off sand, boots and gear at camp.

How does it handle cold nights and hot days?

A Webasto petrol heater (running off the van's own fuel tank) keeps the cabin warm without idling the engine, while factory rear air-conditioning and heating back up the front climate control. Fully insulated walls and ceiling, 360° privacy curtains and a 100 Ah AGM house battery round out the overnight setup.

What is included in the price?

NSW registration, a roadworthy certificate, a fresh service, a professional detail, the Rising Rides custom touchscreen player (wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto) and reverse camera, the 5-Year Nationwide Premium Warranty, and lifetime support from the Rising Rides team — all standard Rising Rides preparation procedures.

Is the odometer history verified?

Yes — the odometer history is JEVIC certified, with dated readings on the official Japanese paperwork: 63,700 km on 7 July 2022 and 76,100 km on 12 July 2024 on the export certificate, and 79,950 km on the 2026 Japanese auction report. A clean, consistent kilometre trail backed by the van's dated service invoices — the original certificate is available for inspection.

What warranty is included?

A 5-Year Nationwide Premium Warranty from AWN Insurance, included at no extra cost. No excess fee, no kilometre limit, no claim limit, up to $1,750 per claim, Australia-wide, any licensed mechanic.

Can the van be delivered to another state?

Yes. We deliver Australia-wide. Brisbane or Melbourne $300, ACT $200, SA $600, WA $900. Pickup from our Lidcombe NSW workshop is free.
