Overview

2007 Toyota HiAce TRH226K SLWB Wide Body High Roof 4WD for Sale — 45,777km — 2.7L Petrol Automatic — 6 Seater — Sydney NSW

Genuine 45,777km, documented on the official export certificate. Completely unmodified, factory 4WD. One of the cleanest low-kilometre HiAce vans we have ever landed. $36,900 — Lidcombe, Sydney NSW.

This 2007 Toyota HiAce TRH226K SLWB wide body high roof 4WD van is for sale at Rising Rides in Lidcombe, Sydney — and it has covered just 45,777 kilometres in eighteen years.

That number is the first thing everyone asks about, so let's deal with it properly, with the paperwork on the table.

The odometer, from the official record

This vehicle's Japanese export certificate carries its recorded odometer history:

  • 43,100 km — 15 February 2022
  • 44,200 km — 14 February 2024
  • Certificate issued 8 May 2026, with no further readings recorded

Eleven hundred kilometres across those two years. Roughly fifteen hundred more since. It chains straight to the 45,777km showing on the dash today — and it comes from the vehicle's official registration record, not from a sale description.

The reason is in the ownership history: the last registered owner in Japan was an aged-care services company, and this van worked as a patient transfer vehicle. Short, gentle, low-speed runs between facilities. Garaged between shifts. Serviced on schedule, because it carried people who depended on it.

What that life left behind

No modifications. No conversions. No hard load work. The vinyl floor is flat and unmarked by heavy freight. The panels are straight, the paint is original white, and the interior presents like a vehicle a decade newer than the build plate.

We are not going to tell you it is flawless. It is eighteen years old, and our own inspection found light surface rust in the usual underbody spots plus a few small marks inside and out — all consistent with age, and all disclosed upfront. What we will tell you is this: come and see it. Bring your mechanic. Put it on a hoist. Nothing on this van needs to be explained away.

Provenance and history

Genuine JDM import. Last registered to an aged-care services company in Japan, where it served as a patient transfer vehicle. Odometer history recorded on the official export certificate at 43,100km in February 2022 and 44,200km in February 2024. Chassis number TRH226-0004414. Factory colour code 058.

Once it landed, it went through the full Rising Rides process: full service and roadworthy inspection completed by our mechanics, compliance, NSW registration, and a full professional detail in-house before it hit the floor. NSW Registered to 23 January 2027 — Ready to Drive Away.

Engine — Toyota 2TR-FE 2.7L VVT-i petrol

The 2TR-FE is the engine you choose when you want a van that simply does not stop. It is a naturally aspirated 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol with variable valve timing and a timing chain — not a belt. No turbocharger. No diesel particulate filter. No AdBlue. There is very little on this engine that can fail expensively, and every mechanic in Australia knows how to work on it.

  • Timing chain — no scheduled belt replacement
  • No turbo — nothing to rebuild at high kilometres
  • No DPF and no AdBlue — no regeneration cycles, no additive top-ups, no city-driving headaches
  • Runs on standard 91 RON unleaded — E10 compatible
  • Serviceable at any workshop in the country — parts are everywhere and cheap

These engines routinely show 500,000 to 900,000+ kilometres on Australian classifieds on nothing more than basic maintenance. With 45,777km on this one, the engine has barely started its life.

The trade-off is honest: a naturally aspirated petrol van uses more fuel than a modern turbo diesel. What you get back is a smoother, quieter drive, no emissions hardware to fail, and repair bills that are a fraction of what diesel owners pay when something does go wrong.

Factory 4WD

This is genuine factory Toyota 4WD — engineered by Toyota, built in Japan, not an aftermarket conversion. The factory-raised 4WD chassis sits approximately 25mm taller than the equivalent 2WD at ride height, with an official ground clearance of 185mm on the 4WD versus 195mm on the 2WD. It is the combination Toyota never sold new in Australia: super long wheelbase, wide body, high roof, and four-wheel drive in one vehicle.

A rare blank canvas

Completely unmodified, ultra-low kilometres, wide body, high roof, super long wheelbase, factory 4WD, flat vinyl floor. If you have been looking for the right base van for a camper build, this is about as good a starting point as exists in this country — you are not undoing someone else's fitout before you begin.

Or leave it exactly as it is. As a six-seat 4WD people mover with dual air conditioning and a flat load bay behind the second row, it works straight off the floor for families, trades, tour operators, community groups and anyone who needs seats and space in the same vehicle.

Going off-grid? We build power systems in-house.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 45,777km reading genuine?

Yes, and it is documented. The vehicle's official Japanese export certificate records its odometer at 43,100km on 15 February 2022 and 44,200km on 14 February 2024, with no further readings recorded before the certificate was issued on 8 May 2026. That is 1,100 kilometres across two years, chaining to the 45,777km showing today. The reason is the vehicle's history: it was last registered to an aged-care services company in Japan and worked as a patient transfer vehicle, doing short low-speed runs between facilities. You are welcome to inspect the vehicle and the documentation in person at our Lidcombe showroom.

What engine does this HiAce have?

A Toyota 2TR-FE 2.7-litre VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an automatic transmission. It uses a timing chain rather than a belt, has no turbocharger, no diesel particulate filter and requires no AdBlue. It runs on standard 91 RON unleaded, is E10 compatible, and can be serviced at any workshop in Australia.

Is the 4WD genuine factory 4WD?

Yes. This is a factory-built Toyota 4WD HiAce from Japan, not an aftermarket conversion. The factory-raised 4WD chassis sits approximately 25mm taller than the 2WD version at ride height, with 185mm of official ground clearance.

How many people does it seat?

Six, with a folding rear bench. Folding the rear bench forward opens the back of the van into a long flat vinyl load floor.

What warranty is included?

A 5-Year Nationwide Premium Warranty is included free with this vehicle, underwritten by AWN Insurance (Australian Warranty Network). It covers you Australia-wide for five years with no excess, no kilometre limit and no limit on the number of claims, with each claim covered up to $1,750, redeemable at any licensed mechanic in Australia.

Is it registered and ready to drive?

Yes. This HiAce is NSW registered until 23 January 2027 and ready to drive away — fully complied, with a full service and roadworthy inspection completed by our mechanics and a professional detail in-house before delivery.

Can you deliver interstate?

Yes. Pick-up from Lidcombe in Sydney is free. Delivery is $200 to the ACT, $300 to Brisbane or Melbourne, $600 to South Australia and $900 to Western Australia.

Can it be converted into a campervan?

It is an ideal base. The van is completely unmodified with a flat vinyl floor, wide body, high roof and super long wheelbase. We also build off-grid power systems in-house — our 2000W Off-Grid Package is $4,490 fully installed and includes a Renogy 200Ah 5,000-cycle Mini lithium battery, 350W solar, a 40A DC-DC/MPPT charger and a 2000W inverter, plus all cabling, busbars, fuses, isolators and mounting hardware, installed and secured by our team. For bigger builds, the 3000W Off-Grid Package ($6,490 fully installed) steps up to a Renogy 300Ah 5,000-cycle Core Mini lithium battery, 450W solar and a 3000W inverter. Bullbar, towbar, roof rack and wheel & tyre deals are also available — just let us know what you need.

Where is it located?

Rising Rides, 16A Adderley Street, Lidcombe NSW — a specialist Toyota HiAce and Camroad dealership, NSW Motor Dealer Licence MD095543.
