$88,800 — Lidcombe, Sydney NSW · NSW Registered — Ready to Drive Away · 5-Year Nationwide Warranty Included · Car Licence · JDM Import
This one is for the people who understand that practicality and speed are the absolute luxury. A 2005 Toyota Camroad 4WD motorhome for sale in Sydney that measures under five metres, weighs an exact 2,670 kg, drives on a standard car licence — and carries a brand-new, electrician-certified 530W solar and 300Ah lithium off-grid system that most motorhomes twice its size would envy.
Light, quick and unstoppable — on the highway and on the fire trails. Full-time 4WD, all-terrain rubber, a diesel heater for the highest parts of the country, and a Rising Rides electrical build so complete you won't need to think about upgrading your power for the next ten years. Possibly ever.
The Camroad isn't a delivery truck with a box on the back. It's a special chassis Toyota developed exclusively for Japan's professional motorhome builders at the request of the Japan RV Association — never sold to the general public. The name itself combines "Camper" and "Roadability."
That purpose shows everywhere: an uprated alternator engineered for charging house batteries, a large 80-litre fuel tank for touring range, and rear suspension mounting designed specifically around a camper body's centre of gravity. It was born a motorhome — and it drives like it. Easy. Not like a truck. Properly set up.
Under the cab sits Toyota's 2KD-FTV — a 2.5-litre common-rail D-4D turbo diesel from the same celebrated KD family that powered a generation of HiLux and HiAce workhorses across the world. This is the pre-DPF generation: no diesel particulate filter to clog, no AdBlue to buy, no regeneration cycles to manage. Just simple, serviceable, modern-enough diesel engineering that any mechanic in Australia understands.
The 2KD is known as the economical one of the KD family — and in the lightest body Camroad ever wore, it feels genuinely eager. This is the quick, light, zippy Camroad: happy at highway speed, easy up hills, and famously capable of 400,000 km-plus service lives when maintained. Recently fully serviced by our workshop and professionally detailed in-house before delivery.

Every Rising Rides import carries a JEVIC-certified odometer and full documented history. This Camroad's Japanese export certificate records 115,600 km in August 2021 and 125,100 km in August 2023 — it shows 127,873 km today. That's barely 12,000 km covered in the last five years: genuinely light, documented use.
The Camroad was never sold new in Australia — you simply cannot walk into a Toyota dealer and buy one here, which is exactly what makes it special. This example has been recently complied and is NSW registered — an Australian vehicle now, and another win for Aussie roads. Full Australian compliance completed, with all electrical compliance certificates (AS/NZS 3001.2:2022) included in the sale.
Every Rising Rides vehicle leaves with a full 5-Year Nationwide Premium Warranty included at no extra cost — underwritten by AWN Insurance (Australian Warranty Network), the award-winning warranty provider rated 4.8 stars across more than 2,300 reviews on ProductReview.com.au, with 96% positive feedback.
Most dealers charge $2,000–$4,000 for this level of cover. Here it's simply included — along with lifetime support and care from the Rising Rides family, for as long as you own the vehicle.
